I call this Part 2, as this is a sequel on my last blog, something I never do but I think I must let you know how my integration in my new hometown is developing.
Arriving at the market, putting up my table…and as a Dutchie I am perfectly installed in time. At 8.00 it’s just waiting for people. It’s very quiet, with only 5 stalls I am not sure if we will attract enough people. So I chat with the other sales women and 1 man. It’s an enjoyable place and a nice chat helps, but it’s still a long wait. Around 11, I had the first visitors under the tree and the day became better and better… All the ladies I met were so nice and interested in wines and my story why we moved from Stellenbosch to the bush… I must confess it scared me a little bit but I am still convinced that this is a great move! A BOOKCLUB arrived and how amazing is it that they loved the Noble Savage wines, just like my bookclub in Stellenbosch.
So I like to thank you all for the warm welcome, the nice chat, the hospitality, the relaxed atmosphere and of course for supporting me!
Looking forward to see you all again and please bring your friends, it will be a warm nice summer with lots of wine and ice to cool down!
Enfold me with words… So I can disappear in sentences and allude with text, Astrid
