Markets and ‘Wine & Food Experience’

Between the last update and now there were a lot of markets some very successful, others a bit low on visitors.
Coming from Stellenbosch where a few years ago markets popped up like mushrooms, it looks like Lephalale and surroundings are following.
Would be nice if they do a bit of different things on different locations and a few more stands. But every start is difficult and I know it … because I am in the same process.

Last Saturday I had my first ‘Wine & Food Experience’ on Zeelandhuys at die Huys OpiKopi and I am really grateful that it went so well.

We tasted 3 wines; Montegray Grenache Blanc / Rousanne, Montegray PetitVerdot and the Montegray Syrah.

With help from my very good friend we put together an Asian Buffet. Twelve dishes in beautiful bowls decorate the side table. The smell of lemon leaves and coriander is fabulous. Most of the dishes were Indonesian, but there was also a Chinese and a Vietnamese dish.

I think the whole atmosphere was great and the weather just perfect.
